Milestone – I’m Half a Millionaire!!

That’s right, I just updated my Net Worth page and I’ve crossed the $500,000 mark!  What’s really incredible about this is, that just 5 years ago, I had a net worth under $50,000.  I’ve made huge strides in the last couple of years since I’ve been a dividend growth investor.

It’s also my birthday today which makes this even a bigger milestone.  In just 6 years from now I want to be able to retire or semi-retire and do what I want to and when I want to.

So, it’s not time to fully celebrate yet, as I’m still working and have a long ways yet to go.  However, It’s nice to celebrate the smaller milestones while on my journey to FI.

I appreciate anyone following me along on this journey and I plan to continue to post updates as usual.

      The 7 figure mark will be a huge achievement. I just hope I can keep up this pace. I’m glad you liked the picture. Europe is an incredible place and I hope I can do more traveling once I reach FI.

      Thanks my friend. It was blogs like yours that really helped kick-start my interest in DG investing. It’s certainly nice to know I’m on a path to FI and I am seeing progress. I look forward to seeing higher and higher monthly dividend amounts rolling in.

  12. That’s so awesome, congrats man!! I’m around that mark too, but my number is highly volatile since I’m using Zillow to track property value.

    • Thanks FI Fighter. I think what you’re doing with rental properties is awesome. Keep up the good work on your end too. I’d like to add a third rental next year but we’ll see.
